TINY METAL 2 Brings Land, Sea, and Air to Tactical Warfare

TINY METAL 2 pushes AREA 35's arcade war gaming series into bolder territory. Grid-based maps still form the backbone, but now whole fleets, subs, and carrier air wings factor into the strategic picture. Produce units, capture facilities, and time your attacks with fog of war lurking in the background. The essentials of what made the series fun are intact, but the scope has clearly grown.

Take Command

As the commander you decide where to invest production, which territory to contest, and when to risk a full-scale assault. The fog of war returns, encouraging cautious scouting and deliberate advances. Notable new additions include naval warfare for the first time in the series, bringing submarines, battleships, transports, and carrier-launched fighters into the mix.

The narrative follows Nathan Gries, an Artemisian Army major whose warship is ambushed and seized by the Republic of Corsario. Corsario, displaced after the Great War and turned to piracy, believes naval power can restore their fortunes. Nathan and the White Fang mercenary group, led by Wolfram, are dragged into a fresh global conflict where vestiges of the Great War threaten to resurface.

TINY METAL 2 also features cinematics by SAFEHOUSE, and Japanese voice performances from Toshiyuki Toyonaga, Daisuke Ono, and Kenichiro Matsuda, which should help sell the larger-scale drama between missions.

Team Up

Cooperative play has been built in from the ground up. Campaign maps and many Skirmish scenarios support allied commanders who share resources and fight together. The cooperative systems are practical and focused on teamwork.

  • Lock on and focus fire with ally units
  • Share income from captured facilities
  • Resupply each other with supply units
  • Use unique Support Powers to assist allies

Couch co-op and online co-op both support shared decision making, which turns single-player tactics into coordinated combined-arms operations.

Commanders, Online Play, and Competitive Options

TINY METAL 2 ships with over 15 playable commanders, including 10 all-new leaders and returning fan favorites. Each commander applies passive buffs that favor certain unit types and brings a unique Ultra Power for clutch moments, so experimenting with different commanders changes playstyle dramatically.

Online play is supported through Epic Online Services. You can host custom lobbies with a variety of match types, from 1v1 up to massive 8-player maps. Match formats include 1v1, 2v1, 2v2, 4v2, 4-player free-for-all, 6-player, and full 8-player clashes. Campaign maps can be played cooperatively online, while Skirmish mode supports versus play with ranking via an Elo system for competitive players.

A Past War Rises Again

Campaign mode weaves tactical scenarios into a story about old evils returning from the Graveyard of Ships and the risk that history will repeat itself. Your decisions will matter across hundreds of maps, with over 100 Campaign and Skirmish maps promising long-term replayability. Between the expanded unit roster, naval mechanics, commander variety, and extensive co-op and online features, TINY METAL 2 positions itself as the most ambitious entry in the series so far.
