Lost Ages Hunting
Lost Ages Hunting folds time into your hunting ground. The Early Access build drops you into a sprawling prehistoric map where dinosaurs roam, predators stalk, and hunting feels both primal and tactical. The promise is simple and ambitious, a hunting sim that spans eras, with new maps and creatures arriving as development continues.
Hunt Across Time
The current Early Access slice focuses on a 64 km² prehistoric map and six huntable dinosaurs. Even in this early form, the game leans into variety. Environments are large and layered, with forests, rivers, mountains, and open plains that encourage tracking and stalking. Dynamic day and night cycles change how you approach prey, and dangerous predator encounters keep each outing tense.
Gameplay centers on tracking and surviving. You follow signs, learn animal behavior, manage equipment, and secure trophies. There is a persistent progression system and a base camp to return to between expeditions. Multiple weapons and ammunition types are available, and night vision options let you switch tactics when darkness falls.
What's In Early Access
The current build includes:
- A large prehistoric hunting map, 64 km²
- Six huntable dinosaur species
- Multiple weapons and ammunition types
- Dangerous predator encounters
- Trophy and progression systems
- Base camp and hunting tools
That is the foundation. The game already supports a persistent save system and character progression, so your hunter grows more capable as you rack up trophies and survival experience.
Trophies, Rarity, and Replay
Trophy collection is a clear focus. You can mount creatures and collect rare variants that offer greater rewards. Those rare spawns should encourage replay of hunting grounds and deeper mastery of tracking and stealth. The combination of large maps, varied terrain, and rare creature variants aims to keep each expedition feeling meaningful.
Expanding the Timeline
The developers plan to expand the game during Early Access. Future updates will add Ice Age landscapes and creatures, and post-apocalyptic zones populated with mutated fauna. Planned additions also include more weapons and equipment, expanded progression systems, new maps, and fresh gameplay mechanics and environmental hazards. Those updates should broaden the time-travel conceit and introduce new playstyles tied to each era.
The Pitch
Lost Ages Hunting is shaping up as a hunting sim that tries to do more than recreate a hunting lodge. It asks players to adapt across eras, learn different ecosystems, and treat each hunt as an evolving challenge. If you like open-world tracking, trophy hunting, and the odd thrill of facing beasts no modern hunter has ever seen, this Early Access project is worth keeping an eye on.
