Raw Fists Delivers 8-Bit Fisticuffs

There is not much that beats the satisfying thunk of a well-timed punch in chunky 8-bit. Raw Fists leans hard into that joy with a high-action, retro-styled run-n-punch where you batter your way through hoards of evil robots to save the world in pure 80s fashion. The presentation wears its inspirations on its sleeve, offering a dose of nostalgia without pretending to be anything but a tight, punch-first arcade experience.

Punch, Upgrade, Repeat

Raw Fists sends you across more than 20 levels full of enemies, hazards and boss fights. Along the way you can upgrade your character with extras like double jump, credit boosters and slides, giving you options to tailor your run and reach new areas or dodge encounters. Boss battles and the rhythm of clearing stages promise a steady loop of throwaway punches and meaningful upgrades.

Orb-bots and Power Suits

One neat wrinkle is the orb-bots you can find during runs. There are eight different orb-bots that assist you in battle, helping to thin enemy ranks or cover weaknesses in your playstyle. Defeating powerful mechanoids also charges your Power Suit, a mechanic that can turn the tide when things get overwhelming. The interplay between small helpers and big, screen-filling threats gives the combat a nice layer of strategy beneath the pixelated chaos.

Modes, Madness and Old-School Bite

Beyond the core campaign Raw Fists offers Boss Rush and Challenge modes for players who want to test how many robotic skulls they can crack in a row. The game warns you: it contains old-school difficulty. That means precise inputs, pattern recognition and a willingness to learn through failure. Also, yes, there are PUNCH TRAINS.

If you miss the era of tight, unforgiving action with bold sound and chunky sprites, Raw Fists looks like it was designed to scratch that itch without apology.
