Stemmies Turns the Human Body into a Bio-Economic Playground

Stemmies™ asks a bold question: what if biology was less a lab and more a sandbox city you could manage, trade inside, and physically pilot through? Built on the proprietary TitanEngine™, Stemmies blends city-scale management, microscale physics, and a live market system that prices human cellular activity in ATP.

You are in charge of the Vanguard Initiative. That means tracking pathogen vectors across a sprawling 2.5D bio-punk metropolis, running pathology labs, and steering a Class-5 Proteus nano-sub through hostile blood vessels while balancing supply chains of pollen, reagents, and specially trained interns. Gameplay layers are deep and intentionally interconnected: your actions in the sub-verse affect the market, and your market choices change what kind of bio-tools you can afford.

Dive From Titan City to the Sub-Verse

One of Stemmies strongest hooks is its seamless zoom protocol. You can watch Titan City sprawl, then instantly dive into the cellular void where Newtonian physics govern your hands and your hull. The same world is simulated at multiple scales, and the transition feels tactical rather than cosmetic.

Piloting the Proteus is a physics puzzle. Your synthetic lipid hull is designed to spoof MHC-I recognition, but collisions, stomach-acid breaches, or a single poorly timed impact can flag you as foreign; that triggers lethal immune swarms of Macrophages and Neutrophils. Movement, mass, and momentum matter. You will use left- and right-hand Newtonian controls to manipulate arms, weld tools, and reposition laser emitters in real time.

Stemmies also leans on optics and acoustics as gameplay tools. Surgical emitter nodes create light that bounces and refracts inside tissue, and the Nautical Acoustic Awareness system turns audio waves into actionable telemetry so you can locate pathogens hidden in dense matrices.

Trade Interns, Harvest ATP, and Manipulate Markets

The Vanguard Bio-Exchange is where biology meets finance. ATP functions as a tradable currency: harvest it from cultivated flora or productive labs, then use it to buy reagents, equipment, or workforce assets. Interns are both your workforce and an investment product. Buy green rookies, let them earn experience running logistics and cleaning bio-waste, then resell seasoned staff for profit.

Market prices respond to real-time events. Outbreaks, supply shortages, and your own interventions can swing tickers and open arbitrage opportunities. Want to fund an expensive synthesis pipeline? You might hedge by shorting a bio-asset or flipping interns on the exchange.

If official channels fail, there is a Vanguard Black Market for illicit gear. RFID darts, precision LIDAR, and off-the-books telemetry let you tag moving biological vectors, track avian lineages, and triangulate Patient Zero. Those choices carry risk and moral weight, but Stemmies treats epidemiology and trade as two sides of the same experience.

Grow, Cross-Breed, and Accelerate Your Botanical Supply

The Botanist Lab ties the economy back to basic cultivation. Plants in Stemmies have lifecycles, genetics, and can be cross-bred and profiled with the Genetics Profiler. Track family trees, monitor Max Canopy potential, and optimize traits that feed your chemical synthesis pipelines.

Soil telemetry is a constant unreadout: hydration, pH, and toxicity influence what will survive and what will fail. You can manually inject water, prune to promote health, or spend ATP to accelerate growth cycles and jump-start pollen yields. Those yields feed labs and markets alike, making horticulture a strategic pillar rather than a side hobby.

Your Neural Companion and Desktop Matrix

The Vanguard Neural Core drives a CMO companion that exists at the intersection of UI and simulation. Drop your Chief Medical Officer onto a settings panel and watch him physically navigate the interface; menus become kinematic platforms. The DLC-enhanced CMO features dynamic text-to-speech and more advanced telemetry awareness, so his tone will change as your patient stabilizes or as a lab goes up in smoke.

Ambient AI personnel run the day-to-day in labs while you focus on high-risk missions. Their pathfinding and autonomy let you delegate, but they will also be marketable assets when you need fast ATP.

Creator Lenn Dolling shared an enthusiastic note with the build: "Whoo hooo! I hope you like the game it has taken lots of work. Please give it a try." That eagerness shows in Stemmies layered systems and its willingness to hand you complex toys and let you decide how to use them.
