No Results Found: Search, Dig Deep, and Question Everything

Everyone said the case was closed. Everyone except the victims' families. In No Results Found you play a religious studies researcher at a government agency asked to reexamine a mass drowning tied to the Church of the Nine-Tentacled Octopus. All 227 people affiliated with the Church drowned during a ritual. A year later the families insist the investigation reached the wrong conclusion and want the record reopened.

Your tools are patient reading and a search box. The game pushes you to treat the internet like a primary source archive. The evidence is not highlighted. The posts are not neatly labeled. You must follow threads, chase odd words, and test leads until something clicks.

Investigate the Followers' Hidden Community

The site you study is equal parts cult aesthetics and low effort event pages. Expect octopus masks, bizarre commandments, and ridiculous looking calendar entries. Buried inside that rabbit hole is a members only area. That is where the real connections live.

No Results Found asks you to treat even throwaway posts as data points. A joke, a complaint, or a fleeting reference can point to a new persona or a hidden discussion. Piece together scattered entries and public records to identify who mattered in the Church and what they might have been hiding.

Search the Terms to Uncover Clues

Important clues are not spoon fed. Instead the game turns search into the core puzzle. Spot an unfamiliar term. Type it into the search field. Sometimes one query reveals a new post, a private thread, or a fragment that reframes everything you thought you knew.

The designers make the act of searching itself meaningful. You will chase strings of text across archives and community posts. Small, deliberate discoveries add up and can shift the trajectory of the investigation. Even something as mundane as a snack name could open a door, if you remember to query it.

A Quiet, Patient Kind of Mystery

No Results Found is less about jump scares than about accumulation. It rewards careful readers and pattern seekers who enjoy building cases from fragments. The premise sets high stakes on paper, but the gameplay is forensic and methodical. If you like puzzles that treat the web as a living archive, this one turns searching into its own satisfying challenge.

The truth is buried. Your task is straightforward to describe and demanding to complete. Search, dig deeper, and search again.
