C.U.B.E: Survive deadly trials and outlive your friends
C.U.B.E drops a deliciously cruel twist on co op horror. You and up to five friends must cooperate to make it through ten days of deadly Trials, but every patch of teamwork comes with a catch. Survival helps everyone, yet only one player will be crowned the True Subject at the end of Day 10. The rest get one final chance to snatch the title in the Final Evaluation.
This is a game about choices that feel equal parts helpful and selfish. Help your teammates enough to clear a Trial, but not so much that your death count falls behind theirs. It makes for tense runs, awkward alliances, and some gloriously ridiculous ragdoll moments.
How the Trials keep things fresh
Each Trial is a self contained challenge. Expect puzzles, strange experiments, hazardous environments, and surprise mechanics that force players to adapt on the fly. The current pool includes 25 unique Trials with plans for more, and runs are randomized to keep each playthrough unpredictable.
That randomization combined with a large item variety means routes and tactics will change from run to run. One moment you are coordinating switches across a toxic floor, the next you are improvising with a quirky gadget found in a locker. The result is high replayability and plenty of emergent moments.
Cooperation is required, but trust is optional
The core tension in C.U.B.E is social. Survival depends on teamwork, yet only one person walks away with the title of True Subject. That tension turns every rescue and every sacrifice into a potential power play. Players will be negotiating who takes risks, when to revive, and which resources to spend. It is cooperative horror with a competitive heart.
Proximity voice chat amplifies that dynamic. Shouting directions across a lethal chamber is one thing. Whispering a plea that you will intentionally trip at the end so someone else racks up a death is another. The game leans into the awkward diplomacy of shared danger with a scoring system that rewards individual restraint.
The Final Evaluation and the fashion stakes
At the end of Day 10 the True Subject is chosen, then the Final Evaluation begins. The description leaves room for surprise, but the idea is clear. Ten days of shifting trials culminate in one last opportunity for the group to determine who truly deserves the title.
And yes, cosmetics matter. C.U.B.E lets you dress your character so you do not go into the facility looking boring. Cosmetics and unlockables add lighthearted vanity to otherwise brutal runs, giving players a reason to collect items beyond pure utility.
