Typomon Hunter Turns Typing Into Monster Combat
A phishing link messed up the system and now monsters swarm the network. Typomon Hunter makes your keyboard the only cure. This roguelike monster-collector turns typing into a full combat system: type sentences in real time to deal damage, land combos, and capture over 88 unique Typomon across eight elemental types.
The premise is delightfully direct. Dr. Professor clicked a suspicious email and unleashed digital chaos. You are the impatient typist who dives into corrupted dungeons, fights the Hoople Organization's malware, and types your way to the source of the infection.
Typing Is Your Weapon
This is not a typing minigame pasted onto a battle screen - typing is the battle. Your words-per-minute determines damage output, flawless sentences build combos, and typos hurt your own team. There are split-second typing challenges that trigger sneak attacks, and the clock is always ticking before enemies strike back. Speed and precision are the core loop: type fast, type clean, or get deleted.
The combat system feeds into progression in satisfying ways. Typing milestones help Typomon evolve, dropped letters can be forged into stat-boosting words via Lexiforge, and every keystroke matters for building momentum mid-run.
Catch 'Em, Train 'Em, Fuse 'Em
Collect more than 88 Typomon species spread across eight elemental types - SCIENCE, TECH, LORE, MYTH, ARCANE, NATURE, HISTORY, and COMBAT. Each Typomon has unique abilities that can trigger on kills, on typos, on switches, and more. There are five rarity tiers from Common to Legendary, plus ultra-rare Rainbow variants.
Beyond simple collecting, you can evolve Typomon through typing milestones and fuse two creatures into powerful dual-type hybrids with the Data Splice system. Lexiforge lets you craft words from letter drops to influence stats, and a 6-tier Bond system grows relationships with your team through repeated battles.
Roguelike Runs and Deep Meta-Progression
Dungeon runs are procedural and packed with features expected from a modern roguelike. Descend through floors with fog of war, trapped corridors, locked doors, and hidden treasure, and face eight elemental bosses and Hoople Organization malware across 16 themed biomes - from Digital Archives to the Void Nexus. Death sends you back to the start, but meta-progress carries forward.
Between runs you can bank favorite Typomon to the Hard Drive, unlock and equip over 30 accessories that grant party-wide passive bonuses, and complete rotating quests for gold. There are 40+ rotating quests across five difficulty tiers and 10 Glitch Modes with three severity levels each to crank up challenge and rewards.
VS Battles, Glitch Modes, and Vanity
Test your typing speed against 36 CPU opponents across an eight-tier ELO ranking system - from Unranked up to Apex - and soon you'll be able to take those teams into real-time PVP versus other players. VS mode is all about bringing your fastest fingers and your best-built party.
If you want extra difficulty, Glitch Modes twist the rules - enemies with +60% HP, a roster cap of one, and similar brutal mutators change how runs play out. The game also offers a Hoople Shop with portraits, titles, name colors, and borders, plus 55 vanity items to show off in VS mode.
The aesthetic leans retro pixel art with a hacker and terminal vibe, backed by a synthwave soundtrack and fully procedural sound effects. Typomon Hunter runs entirely offline and packs over 10,000 typing sentences across eight themed categories, emphasizing replayability and mechanical depth without needing an internet connection.
