Vignus - Ignite the Lifespark on a Corrupted Planet

Vignus drops you into an alien world choked by a black mist and creeping madness. You are an enigmatic being called to kindle a Lifespark, cleanse corrupted fauna, and shepherd them into a functioning, living ecosystem. The twist is that those same cleansed creatures become both your workforce and your battle companions, forming production chains that keep your sanctuary alive while you explore and fight.

The game blends top-down action RPG combat with a layer of biological automation. It feels part creature collector, part base builder, and part buildcrafting action where your loadout and companion network define how well you survive.

Creature Automation Is the Core Loop

At Vignus heart is a simple but clever loop. Venture into the wild, defeat and cleanse creatures twisted by corruption, then link the purified animals into living production lines. Each creature has its own traits and outputs. Some generate ammo and resources for your skills, others produce Evolution Essence used to grow and unlock new powers.

You plan how to chain them. Place a producer that generates raw material next to a converter that refines it, and feed those outputs into supply nodes for your fighting companions. The result is an ecosystem that hums along while you probe deeper into hazardous biomes.

That design encourages strategic thinking beyond combat. Which creatures do you prioritize? How do you balance production with defense? Keeping your sanctuary running means both good layout and attention to your companions needs.

Buildcrafting Combat and Flexible Builds

Combat in Vignus gives you dozens of weapons and skills to experiment with. You are not stuck with randomized gear; the developers emphasize flexible buildcrafting. Swap skills whenever you like and craft combinations that suit the threats ahead.

Enemies fight differently, and corruption amplifies their aggression. Some will swarm, others exploit range or environmental hazards. To prevail you will adapt both your personal build and your living army. Your companions can provide distractions, crowd control, support, or heavy area attacks depending on how you kit them out and what supplies you funnel into them.

The interplay between on-foot action and automated support is the game's selling point. It rewards players who enjoy tinkering with both combat builds and systemic, emergent solutions.

Wild Biomes and a Mystery to Uncover

Vignus promises a variety of locations to explore. Expect caverns of rough stone, wastelands with colossal bones, lava plains, and places where gravity misbehaves. Exploration abilities open new routes and hidden paths, delivering surprises like evolutionary genes, rare companions, or tools that reshape traversal.

Beyond survival and base building lies the story thread: who are you, what is the Lifespark, and what force is spreading the black mist. The world is actively hostile to expansion, sending frenzied invaders to test your defenses. That makes every decision about which creatures to cleanse and how to arrange production lines meaningful.

About Codifyre and Supporting Vignus

Codifyre is a small team of over ten developers and Vignus is their first project. They describe the game as early in development and welcome player feedback to help shape its growth. If you like the concept, consider adding Vignus to your wishlist to show support and follow its progress.

Stand with your living machines, adapt your builds, and maybe uncover the truth behind the Lifespark. Vignus aims to be a different kind of action RPG where biology, automation, and combat all pull double duty.
