Spirit Crossing invites you to the Crosslands

Welcome, Wanderers. Spirit Crossing drops you into the storm-swept Crosslands, a borderland between the human and spirit worlds where community matters more than high scores. From the studio behind Cozy Grove comes a multiplayer life-sim that leans into gentle social systems, cooperative building, and a steady stream of small, kind interactions.

You arrive to an ever-changing shared landscape that encourages teamwork and creativity. Whether you want to tinker with your house, decorate a communal hub, or simply play songs on a rooftop as the sun dips, every day offers low-stakes, warm ways to connect with new friends.

Waystations: build, decorate, defend

At the center of Spirit Crossing are Waystations — customizable villages you share with other players. Together you will build, decorate, fortify, and sustain a home base that grows with your community. Visit other Waystations to trade ideas, participate in events, or simply enjoy new sights and designs.

Storms periodically tear through the land, damaging structures and pulling lonely spirits toward the Waystations. Restoring Waystation Beacons with offerings and acts of kindness holds the storms at bay, which gives the building loop a cooperative purpose beyond mere aesthetics.

A friendship system crafted for social play

Spirit Crossing curates how you meet others with a friendship leveling system that rewards patience. As you raise friendship levels you unlock meaningful social tools: proximity chat to talk only with nearby allies, two-player emotes, teleportation to friendly bases, gift giving, and more. It is a neat design choice that hands players control over their social experience.

This approach makes casual encounters feel safer and more deliberate. You decide how close you want to get, and progression grants access to richer interactions rather than forcing them on everyone at once.

Spirits, bears, fluffalo, and tiny roommates

Exploration mixes light quests and discovery. You will aid lost spirits and learn how they communicate, sometimes earning items and stories as you gain their trust. Befriend villagers and little bears, and you might come home to a tiny roommate waiting at your doorstep.

Movement options like gliding and climbing open up the wilderness, and yes, you can ride fluffalo across the landscape. Timed events, puzzles, fishing tournaments, and rooftop concerts give players plenty of reasons to roam and to linger.

A canvas for self expression

Your house is your own. Manage, upgrade, and decorate it as you see fit. Character customization and expressive home design are central to the experience, letting groups build distinctive Waystations or private retreats. Seasonal soundtracks aim to set the mood, and the game’s cozy aesthetic supports a relaxed pace.

Do note that progress does not transfer between the Steam and mobile versions of Spirit Crossing. Keep that in mind if you plan to hop between platforms.

Who might enjoy Spirit Crossing

If you liked Cozy Grove’s welcoming tone and want a more social, persistent world to share with friends, Spirit Crossing looks built for you. It is positioned for players who enjoy light cooperative systems, low-pressure creativity, and social mechanics that unfold over time. The friendship perks ensure that meaningful interactions come with earned trust, which should appeal to people who want a gentler social loop than many multiplayer titles offer.
