Rogue Kingdom Lets You Raid, Settle and Defend Your Own Dungeon
Rogue Kingdom takes the familiar thrill of roguelike dungeon runs and folds in a surprisingly cozy second act. Instead of leaving a cleared level behind as just another victory, you can claim it, bring in workers and adventurers, build workshops, and actually live there. When the dungeon's monsters inevitably return, you and your allies defend your home turf in real time.
It is an early access project receiving weekly updates, letting players test online runs with Steam friends or go it alone with NPC helpers. The core idea is simple and addictive - loot, craft, mine, level up, then switch from explorer to ruler and protector.
Claim, Settle and Fortify
Every dungeon in Rogue Kingdom is one simulated instance in a larger, procedurally generated world. Clear an instance and you can claim it as yours. That ownership matters: your claimed dungeon becomes a living settlement where NPC workers and adventurers visit, take up residence, and keep the place running.
You can guide how the settlement grows - open a tavern, expand a forge, keep a barracks stocked - or let the workers scavenge and gather resources by themselves while you patrol the corridors. Settlements generate followers and quest givers who hang out in populated tavern rooms, making your dungeon feel more like a small hometown than an abandoned lair.
When monsters respawn and threats return, your settlement is the objective. Invite friends to help defend it in PvE real-time multiplayer, or rely on NPC adventurers who act like playable allies to assist during attacks.
Build, Craft and Tailor Your Character
Progression in Rogue Kingdom spans combat skills, crafting abilities, and gear upgrades. Skill leveling shapes your strengths and weaknesses - you can specialize in destructive, customizable magic or pursue the brute force path with swords, bows, thrown weapons and explosives. The game also supports upgrading each piece of weapon, armor and equipment as you gather materials.
Mining and crafting matter here. Sharpening those skills lets you create stronger spells and upgraded weapons, which in turn helps you tackle tougher monsters and push settlement growth forward. The loop ties exploration, resource gathering and base-building closely together, rewarding players who like multiple RPG pillars.
Multiplayer, Solo Play and Early Access
Rogue Kingdom supports real-time multiplayer so you can bring friends into dungeon clears, joint resource runs and shared defenses. For solo players, NPC adventurers will appear to help with combat and keeping your home dungeon safe, so you are not left alone against waves of respawning foes.
The game is in active development with weekly updates. The current early access version focuses on online play with Steam friends or single-player runs aided by NPCs. Developers encourage players to join the Discord linked on the store page to chat directly, follow progress, and report experiences as the game evolves.
Rogue Kingdom promises a flexible blend of roguelike risk and settlement management. If you like your dungeon crawls to result in a bungalow you can upgrade, defend and brag about to friends, this one deserves a look.
