Stonecall drops you into a vault full of animated rock and tough choices

Stonecall is a room-based top-down roguelike autoshooter built around a deceptively simple question: do you stand and shoot, or keep moving to live another second? The game sends you into the Stone Vault, a deep, ancient complex where a sealed artifact awaits and every chamber is packed with awakened stone golems and long-running defenses. Each run is a test of timing, positioning, and the luck of the relic draw.

Stand your ground, but not forever

Attacking in Stonecall requires planting your feet. You have to stop moving to unleash your attacks, so every decision to attack is also a gamble. Keep your feet planted and you can deal consistent damage, but staying still invites projectiles and swarms to close in. The core loop is about mastering that balance between offense and mobility. Positioning, timing, and awareness are the tools you use to thread the needle between getting a hit off and dodging a stone hammer to the face.

Multiple fighters, multiple ways to tackle the vault

You pick one of several characters drawn to the artifact. Each fighter offers a different approach to combat and survival, encouraging distinct playstyles. Whether you prefer tight, aggressive bursts when you heel in, or a hit-and-run dance to avoid punishment, your chosen fighter shapes how you use the standing-attack mechanic and which strategies work best.

Blessings, relics, and sentinel bosses

Between battles you can purchase relics from a mysterious merchant. Relics drastically change your abilities and, combined with blessings granted by an unseen divine force, create powerful synergies that shift each run in surprising directions. Those choices matter especially when you reach the sentinel bosses that guard each floor. These ancient stone sentinels bring unique attack patterns and mechanisms designed to stop intruders. Learning their movements, adapting your build, and exploiting blessing-relic combos is how you push deeper into the vault.

Stonecall sounds like a game that rewards experimentation and careful risk assessment. With room-based encounters, an autoshooting core that demands you choose between offense and movement, and build variety through relics and blessings, it aims to make every descent feel tactical and fresh.
