Project ACCIPITER

Project ACCIPITER throws you into a very specific kind of chaos. Follow Squad ACCIPITER - Amaryllis, Calissa, and Daphne - as the trio heads into Fortuna to retrieve a secret document from a hidden lab. The plan sounds straightforward. Then the zombies show up, and nothing goes to plan.

The game pairs fast paced isometric 3D chibi combat with visual novel style storytelling. Levels open and close with illustrated CGs and story sections, so you get both narrative beats and bite sized action loops. The result is a mix of silly squad banter and high tempo firefights, where grenade throws and drone calls matter as much as who you swap into next.

Meet the Squad

You control three operators with distinct roles and a lot of personality. The core mechanic is seamless character switching, letting you swap between Amaryllis, Calissa, and Daphne on the fly to use their powerful unique skills. That flexibility feeds into both strategy and spectacle. Want to lay down suppressing fire while a drone scouts ahead? Swap. Need a quick evac or a special skill to break a choke point? Swap again.

The visual novel sections bookend most levels, so the squad has time to bicker, celebrate mistakes, and deliver punchy dialogue between firefights. Those moments cushion the combat and give the linear, character driven story room to breathe. Expect chaos, unexpected twists, and a tone that leans toward comedic calamity as the squad tries to survive and uncover what triggered the incident.

Combat and Mechanics

Combat is dynamic and varied. You will shoot, throw grenades, deploy drones, and manage weapon overheat to keep pressure on zombie hordes. Overheat mechanics add a neat twist to raw firepower, encouraging bursts of aggression rather than constant spraying. Checkpoints let you upgrade weapons, so progression is tangible between stages.

Missions themselves mix things up with diverse objectives. There are escort segments, point defense setups, item collection runs, and fun gimmick stages that alter how you approach a map. The result is a game that wants you to think on your feet and make the most of each operator's toolkit.

Story, Presentation, and Tone

Project ACCIPITER keeps the story linear and focused on the squad. Visual novel style sequences appear at the start and end of every level, accompanied by pretty illustration CGs that help sell character moments and plot beats. The tone balances spectacle and silliness, letting the squad's chemistry take center stage as the apocalypse unfolds around them.

Will they complete the mission, abandon it to survive, or dig into the truth behind the incident? The hook sits squarely in those choices the narrative teases while combat pushes you forward.

Why It Might Catch Your Eye

If you enjoy compact, action first shooters with a personality driven core, Project ACCIPITER looks built to deliver quick laughs, tense firefights, and the kind of chibi charm that makes chaos feel instantly watchable. It pairs arcade style thrills with narrative slices, so players who like both action and character moments should find a lot to like.
