Off Axis

Off Axis drops you into a routine introduction that detonates into chaos. You are meant to attend a simple tour of the ship, then report to the nearest evacuation dock when alarms start blaring. The shuttle leaves without you. All you have is a weapon, a few magazines, and a desperate need to survive.

The pitch is simple and immediate. The game leans into short, intense encounters that force you to think fast about how to move and where to shoot. Gravity is not just a gimmick here. It actively rewrites how each fight plays out.

First Day on Duty

Being marooned on your first day is the kind of setup that gets players moving straight away. You will thread through ship corridors and compartments with the knowledge that every corner might hide an enemy or an environmental hazard. The sense of vulnerability is a constant driver.

Survival comes down to improvisation. Ammo is limited, cover is relative depending on orientation, and every encounter rewards quick decisions and precise execution.

Gravity Changes Everything

At key moments the ship shifts its gravity and you can walk, sprint, and shoot on ceilings as easily as on floors. That change affects how you explore, how you position, and how you aim. Suddenly a ledge is a ceiling, a hallway becomes an overhang, and what looked like safe cover might be above you.

These gravity events open vertical play without turning the game into a platformer. They are used to rework familiar spaces and keep combat fresh across each section of the ship.

Fight From Every Angle

Off Axis is built around fast encounters against robots, zombies, and human foes. Combat emphasizes speed and positioning. You will have to read enemy movement, use gravity shifts to flank or escape, and keep a tight trigger finger to clear rooms quickly.

Weapon handling and mobility remain central. The game promises quick skirmishes that demand both accuracy and the willingness to adapt when the floor becomes a ceiling.

Turn the Ship Into a Weapon

The ship is more than a backdrop. Explosive barrels, deadly traps, active lasers and environmental switches are all tools you can use to thin the ranks of foes or open new routes. Scanning the environment matters; it reveals threats, secrets, and tactical options that give you an edge.

This design makes encounters feel layered. You are not only trading bullets, you are manipulating the battlefield to work for you.

A Shooter at Its Core

Despite the gravity tricks and environmental play, Off Axis keeps the fundamentals of a shooter front and center. Encounters reward speed, precision, and smart positioning. The gravity shifts add variety but they do not replace core gunplay.

If you enjoy compact, adrenaline driven fights where every second counts, this is where the game aims to land.

Uncover What This Place Really Is

Beyond combat the ship carries a story in abandoned notes and visual clues. Each new section reveals hints about what the vessel actually is and why your first day on duty turned into a fight for survival. Exploration and piecing together the narrative are woven into the progression.

These story beats appear as environmental details more than long cut scenes, so observing your surroundings is part of the reward.

Solo Led Production

Off Axis is a solo led project focused on fast combat, gravity based encounters, and environmental interaction. The developer lists support for music, testing, and selected technical improvements as part of development. Expect a tight vision driven by one creator rather than a sprawling AAA feature set.

For players who like quick, focused shooters with a high concept twist, Off Axis looks like a worthy corridor to run through and a ship that will not let you stand still.
