Survival Of Runt

The hook is brutal and elegant. In Survival Of Runt, the utopia once enforced by the super-AI Lazarus collapses and most of humanity, still connected, turn into mindless hunters. You survive because you were never linked. Now you face a stark choice: topple Lazarus in chaos or restore order and rebuild a broken world. Either way, the currency of existence is Time - literally the amount of play you are allowed before your account is done.

The game splits that premise into two very different multiplayer experiences, both built around a high risk, high reward Time economy and a resurrection system that turns the dead into relentless predators.

The Two Ways to Survive

Survival Of Runt offers two main modes that demand different instincts. One is short, brutal and tightly scoped. The other is slow-burning, strategic and persistent. Both push the same question: what are you willing to sacrifice to gain hours of life?

The Deadzone

Deadzone is the game's hardcore, 40 minute battle royale for up to 50 players. What makes it sharp is the betting mechanic. Each entrant stakes part of their personal Time to join the fray.

  • The cost of dying is immediate and painful. When you die, 30 minutes of your remaining Time are taken away.
  • Survive to the end and you win a large Time payout, typically between 2 and 5 hours added back to your supply.
  • Players choose between two endgame philosophies without revealing their choice. If you commit to Order and your squad reaches the Top 4, every member gets +2 hours. If you choose Chaos and betray everyone to claim the crown, the lone Top 1 survivor receives +5 hours.
  • You cannot see who chose Order or Chaos. An ally might be watching your back or waiting for the perfect moment to stab you. That uncertainty creates constant tension.

Death is not the end here. Fallen players resurrect as Zombies. Repeated deaths make your undead form stronger, turning you into an increasingly powerful monster designed to hunt surviving players. The cycle forces living players to consider whether eliminating opponents is worth creating a future threat.

Conquest

Conquest is the opposite end of the spectrum. It is a persistent, server-wide struggle over territory, resources and influence.

  • Capturing territory is more than planting a flag. Control depends on active presence. If activity drops, shields collapse and rival groups can invade.
  • Sustained activity increases your control level and can make a flag nearly invulnerable, rewarding organized, continuous play.
  • Expanding your holdings secures resources and tactical advantage. But being active consumes Time at a steady rate, so expansion is a trade-off against survival resources.
  • The mode ends, narratively speaking, when one group controls every territory. That moment promises to reveal the truth hidden behind Lazarus.

Conquest is built for clans and long-term strategies, while Deadzone is built for short, brutal gambles. Both hinge on the same core idea: Time is both currency and consequence.

Time Is Currency

Time is the single resource that runs the show. If your Time hits zero, you cannot play. The developers try to balance that hard limiter with ways for motivated players to earn more Time.

  • Weekly quests and in-game activities award Game Time so active players can extend their lifespan through effort.
  • If you prefer a shortcut you can buy Time Gold to add minutes back, but purchases are described as convenience rather than power. Bullets on the battlefield do not care about your wallet.

The system sets up moral and mechanical choices. Do you grind for Time, spend money to keep going, or risk everything in one desperate Deadzone match? Each option shapes the community you'll play with.

Tech, World and Roadmap

The team pitches a living, dangerous world backed by smart systems rather than predictable AI. Enemies scale walls, crawl across ceilings and exploit blind spots. Buildings are destructible module by module, opening new paths and forcing players to adapt strategies on the fly. The combination promises vertical encounters and emergent tactics from collapsing environments.

On the roadmap is an ambitious NPC Command Recognition System powered by large language models. Instead of rigid command menus, the developers plan to let you issue natural voice or chat orders to AI allies and have them react tactically. It is a future update, but the idea fits the living-world ethos of the project.

Will you restore Lazarus to bring justice and structure back to humanity, or will you tear everything down and trust instinct? Survival Of Runt makes that choice literal and punishing, wrapped in a PvP framework where death can be an escalation for the losers and a ladder for the victors.
