Biomes include bosses on floors five and ten, each multi-phase and tuned to change attack patterns and telegraphs as you progress. Status effects pair into explosive combos like Overload and Superconduct, encouraging players to chain elemental strategies rather than rely on raw damage alone.
Extraction floors turn the tension up further. Once the boss falls, the exit is not a quiet stroll. Hordes scale up behind you and leaving is its own challenge. The forge is the heart of progression. Weapons can be pushed from +0 to +9, imbued with elemental effects and enchanted with dozens of affixes. Socket stat stones to tune roles, or use the Hourglass of Ages to let fate twist an item before it is frozen forever. The Hourglass promises great reward and great risk - a tempting mechanic for players who like high variance tinkering.
Your choices in the forge are permanent in interesting ways. Enchantments, sockets and refinements create a layered progression where a single weapon can evolve over many runs into something monstrous and highly personal.
Away from the arena you assemble golems piece by piece - head, arms, body, legs - and assign them tasks. They mine, chop wood, craft, forge and even staff your shop. Golems keep producing while you are swinging swords, meaning your hub grows on two tracks: what you accomplish in the arena and what your workforce generates between runs.
You place mines, crafting stations and workshops across your grounds, decorate the area and literally wear walking paths into the dirt as the base grows organically around your playstyle. Display tables let you stock wares and watch customers browse and pay real gold. Contracts and a black market dealer add economic tension - selling at the right time or keeping items for reforging are meaningful choices.
FORJ supports online co-op through Steam. Friends can join to split the run, share loot, and pull each other back from downed states.
