Meltopia is a minimalist exploration game built around a simple, satisfying loop. In the demo you step into a frozen landscape armed with a heat gun and a curiosity for what lies beneath the ice. Melt snow to clear paths, gather resources and artifacts, use dynamite when heat alone will not do, and return finds to your hub platform to thaw. The endgame goal is delightfully specific and surprising you will search for and assemble the remains of an ancient mammoth.
A Minimalist Freeze-and-Thaw Adventure
The demo presents core mechanics cleanly and without fuss. Snow is not background fluff here; it is the means of traversal. Your heat gun melts snow to expose hidden tunnels, reveal secret pockets of resources and open routes deeper into frozen dungeons. As you dig into these layers you encounter a striking contrast between the white surface and the dripping, reflective interiors below.
