Solvendra Expands With 14 Skill Trees, Gear Upgrades, and a Bold New Art Direction

After months of steady iteration and community driven updates, Solvendra is preparing for one of its biggest content waves yet. The online idle MMORPG has been quietly building momentum in alpha, and the next stretch of features shows just how ambitious the two developer team really is.

From expansive skill trees to evolving combat abilities and visible gear, the roadmap ahead signals a clear goal: deeper progression, more meaningful choices, and a stronger player identity.

A Community Shaped Idle MMORPG

At its core, Solvendra is an online idle MMORPG with incremental elements. The philosophy behind it is simple. There should always be something to do, something to chase, and progress should feel smooth and memorable.

The team actively leans on player feedback through polls and testing. In fact, some of the most impactful additions so far came directly from community requests. Guest accounts, for example, were one of the most demanded features and now make up over half of the existing accounts.

In just eight months of development, the two person team has built a stable backend for character actions, rolled out a polished idle combat UI with a combat log, improved the crafting and inventory interface, and introduced collectibles like trophies, cards, and pets. Each collectible category offers permanent buffs, whether that means more experience, increased damage, or extended activity time.

Leaderboards were also a priority, giving competitive players a clear and intuitive way to measure their progress.

14 Skill Trees and Over 30 Points Each

The next major addition is a big one. The team plans to introduce 14 skill trees, one for every skill in the game. Each tree will feature more than 30 skill points.

Players will earn these points by completing quests and leveling up, with an additional six points hidden behind in game secrets. It is a structure designed to reward both active engagement and careful exploration.

With 20 total skills planned, including 6 combat and 14 crafting or gathering skills, these trees are set to add serious depth to character building.

Gear Upgrades Up to +15

Progression is not just about skills. An upgrade system is also on the way, allowing equipment to be enhanced up to +15.

Upgrading will boost certain substats, but it will not be a simple button press. Players will choose how many materials to invest and balance that against their chance of success. It introduces risk management into what might otherwise be a straightforward idle loop.

For a game that emphasizes rewarding player action choices, this fits right in.

12 Evolving Abilities Per Combat Style

Combat in Solvendra runs on 3 second turns and revolves around three combat styles: melee, ranged, and magic. There is a 20 percent damage boost or a 10 percent penalty depending on style matchups, giving encounters a strategic layer even within an idle framework.

Soon, each combat style will receive 12 evolving abilities. Players will earn ability points by defeating enemies and use them to enhance these skills. Evolving an ability can add new effects or increase damage, offering tangible power growth tied directly to combat activity.

With plans for over 250 enemies and more than 60 dungeons, these evolving abilities could become a defining part of long term builds.

A New Art Direction and Visible Equipment

The team has also finalized the art direction for Solvendra. Equipment will now be visible while defeating enemies and on player profiles, reinforcing the feeling of progression and identity.

Claimed trophies will double as cosmetic items that players can equip. It is a smart way to merge collectibles and visual customization, especially in a game aiming for over 600 trophies and 300 cards or maps.

For an idle MMORPG, visible gear and cosmetic rewards go a long way in making achievements feel personal rather than purely statistical.

Big Numbers, Bigger Ambitions

Even in alpha, Solvendra is aiming high. The current plan includes:

  • 250 plus enemies
  • 60 plus dungeons
  • 2000 plus items
  • 600 plus collectibles
  • 800 plus achievements
  • Guilds with activities and raids
  • Research systems, substats, and an evolving economy

It is an ambitious checklist for a project developed by just two passionate creators. But with consistent updates, a responsive approach to feedback, and a clear content roadmap, Solvendra is steadily shaping into a feature rich idle MMORPG for players who love long term progression.

If you are the kind of player who enjoys watching numbers climb, optimizing builds, and chasing that next upgrade, this is one to keep an eye on.
