At the heart of Into The Grid is a clever dual resource system. Every card you play not only triggers its main effect, it also generates Virtual Memory, or VIM. That means even a less than ideal hand still contributes toward your larger strategy.

VIM is then used to activate Commands during battle. These powerful abilities can swing the tide of combat, letting you break through enemy defenses or push for a decisive finish. It adds a layer of flexibility that rewards creative thinking rather than punishing imperfect draws.

Instead of feeling stuck with the wrong cards, you are constantly building toward something bigger.

Outside of combat, the experience leans into its boardgame inspiration. The Grid itself is a digital landscape packed with branching paths, risks, and rewards. Do you take on a dangerous encounter now, or circle back later when your deck is stronger? Do you cash in a reward immediately, or gamble on holding it for a better payoff?

Build Your Arsenal in the Repo

Your deck is made up of Programs stored in the Repo, which acts as your evolving arsenal. As you explore, you acquire new Programs, upgrade your favorites, and remove weaker options to refine your strategy.

Optimizing your deck is not just about raw power. It is about synergy. Pair the right Programs with the right Commands and your hacker can unleash devastating combinations that shred through enemy cores.

   

 

Customize Your Console, Shape Your Playstyle

As a hacker, your Console is an extension of your mind and body. You can customize it with hardware mods and perks that unlock new strategic options. The deeper you go, the more tools you gain to define your approach.

At Early Access launch, two of the game’s four distinct characters will be available, each offering their own mechanics, visual style, and story arc. Full single player campaigns for all four are planned for the full release.
